The Summing Up
I just started THE SUMMING UP, a 1938 memoir by W. Somerset Maugham. I transcribed a long paragraph into this journal entry because it struck me as currently relevant, then got concerned about copyright.
I found that it's viewable at Amazon, by way of their "Look Inside This Book" feature.
