Yes folks, despite the shitty economy, the company I had that second interview with made me an offer! :) Woo!

They offered me a pretty nice deal on a contracting basis for the first 2 months, which they use as a "get to know" period. I see if I like the company, they see if I fit with the team and an live up to expectation.

I still have to figure out when I can start, there are a bunch of things I need to get done before I lose all my free time during the day..

I wasn't too scared during unemployement, together Jenn and I can do anything, but probably the thing that I'm happiest about is validation of my perceptions. I went through the two interviews, I thought I had all the right answers, I liked the people, they seemed to like me, it seemed like a perfect fit.

If they had called me back and said I wasn't what they were looking for, I was going to have a serious reality check to make on my perception of the world. So, happily, I at least wasn't too far off. :)
