Perhaps I've let myself be influenced by the media too much recently but until it was explicitly stated today, the thought that US soliders had been captured by Iraq didn't even enter the realm of possibility in my brain. We do hear about soliders getting killed which is understandable, but we generally hear it in combination with notice that another city or town has been brought under US control.

If US soliders have been captured, then they must have been involved in a failed skirmish and that isn't the picture my brain pulled from the news reports. More and more I really wonder what's really happening over there. I've never really trusted the media to tell me the real story.. they are a business just like any other and ratings makes them money. I've never really trusted our government either... so I'm out of luck.
