I watched a new TV series on the WB last night called, "Black Sash." Basic idea: martial arts badass (ex-cop, did time for a crime he didn't commit) runs a dojo teaching high school kids some kind of chinese martial art. He helps the kids out with their personal problems and appears that he will be acting as bounty hunter to help pay for lawyer's fees to get access to his daughter, blah blah blah... :)

The first episode wasn't great, but I think it has potential. I felt like it was a 2 hour pilot and they cut it down to 1 hour. They introduced like a million characters and a big storyline and then immediately ended the big storyline. It moved a little too fast, but I think it could evolve into something pretty good. It depends on if the show is a sell-out or if it really tries to stick with a true martial arts concept.

Only a moderate amount of butt kicking and nothing too special yet. I'll give it another try, but I'm really not sure how long the network will let it go before cancelling it.
