5 More Questions

I asked Greg for a set of questions because I wanted to see what questions I would get from someone other than my wife. :)

Here are the five he asked to me, and instructions for getting your own (asked by me, not Greg) at the bottom.

1. What's something in martial arts you can do now that five years ago you would have thought physically impossible?

I can put my foot above my head with my knee touching my shoulder. :)

2. Considerations of riches and wealth aside, what's the one existing thing you wish you had invented yourself?

It's actually something I was trying to invent but lost the race to Earthlink. I hate SPAM and I'm of the opinion that all of the current anti-spam methods are inadequate. I was working on (with 3 other guys) on a challenge-response system. You send me an email, the system determines if you have been authorized to send me email (on my whitelist, for example). If not, it quarentines your email and sends you a message. That email has a link to a webpage or an embeded html document or something that requires you to intelligently interact (like click in a certain spot only a human could decipher or type a randomly generated word that only a human could read from a screwed up image). Doing that verifies you aren't a spammer and authorizes you to send email in the future and at the same time releases the first email from quarentine.

Thea actually got to see it the proto-type at work accidentally.. maybe like 2 years ago? However, it never got finished and Earthlink beat me to it.

3. What's one thing that in the past you would never reveal to anyone that you now don't care if everyone on the planet knows

Hmm... I can't think of anything. Either I never really cared, only wanted to hide it from certain people or I still don't want you to know. :)

4. Desert island. Five things you currently own that you want with you.

Ack... all of my belongings need power cords and I don't currently own a solar generator.

Um, notebook and pen... knife. soap!.. and clothes appropriate for keeping me alive despite the elements. :)

5. When/How/Why did orange become your favorite color?

My favorite color used to be Blue but I noticed that when friends of mine would wear really bright colors (like Orange) that it made me really happy. So, I tried buying orange clothes for myself and damn, if I didn't just really enjoy wearing them.. and from there it spread.

RULES:
1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
