I tried to find a way to phrase this sentence that doesn't lend support to either side... I don't know if I succeeded.

Do you believe that Google sells search result placement or do you believe that Google determines search result placement automatically?

I have another question that I haven't decided if I will ask publicly or if I will ask privately, because asking it might corrupt the first question. :)
