I heard on NPR just now that the death toll in Asia has reached 44,000+!!!! Good fucking god... It's hard to comprehend just how bad it is over there. Another thing that hit me is how many people I know who have family there and I don't know if they are ok. Maya's family is ok and Maryanne's family is ok, but I work with several other people who have family there... some of whom travelled back their for the holidays. :( I don't know when I'm going to find out if they are ok.
