It's a What If... piece about Google becoming Big Brother and controlling every portion of your life, taking over the Homeland Security jobs, etc. It's a wonderful read and if you have a minute, definitely check it out.
The thing that makes this piece especially wonderful (and scary) is that it is accurate. There is no question that Doctorow has a friend who works at Google, because it is exactly right. He has all of the insider phrases used to explain Google's "slightly evil" behaviors. It makes it too good in some places for my liking. :)
