SNL: Palin and Clinton sketch

First, I have to give mad props to Tina Fey for the outstanding impersonation. Obviously, they have similar looks, so that helps, but it was the speaking style and mannerisms that made it so incredible.

My favorite part is the bit about getting a woman in the Whitehouse:

Tina Fey/Palin: It's truly amazing and I think women everywhere can agree that no matter your politics it's time for a woman to make it to the Whitehouse!

Amy Poehler/Clinton: Noooo! MINE! It's supposed to be mine! I'm sorry, I need to say something. I didn't want a woman to be President, _I_ wanted to be President and I just happen to be a woman. I don't want to hear you compare your road to the Whitehouse to my road to the Whitehouse. I scratched and clawed through mud and barbed wire and you just glided in on a dog sled wearing your pageant sash and your Tiny Fey glasses....

I've spoken about this a couple of times that Hillary Clinton voters really should not be voting for Sarah Palin just because she's a woman. I'm not voting for Barack Obama because he's black. Would you vote for McCain just because he's white? Then why would you vote for Sarah Palin or Hillary Clinton just because she's a woman?

I'm hoping that all of this "lipstick on a pig" bullshit will stop the hypocritical cries of sexism.

Tiny Fey/Palin: So, in the next 6 weeks I invite the media to be vigilant for sexist behavior..

Amy Poehler/Clinton: ...although it is never sexist to question a female politicians credentials. Please.... ask this one *points at Palin* about Dinosaurs...

Yep. The Clinton campaign said it was being the victim of sexism, but of course, they were being attacked because we saw Hillary cry once and hearing accusations of "hiding behind the apron strings" and such. However, Palin's campaign is crying sexism when she gets attacked for her political views and lack of experience. It's bullshit. Really... it's all just bullshit.
