In August 2010, the President was informed of a potential lead to the location of Bin Laden. 9 months later after tracking the lead down and verifying the intelligence, President Obama ordered the Navy Seals to capture or kill Bin Laden. With no US casualities, the Seals infiltrated Bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan (62 miles north of Islamabad) just after midnight local time. Reports indicate at the Seals offered him a chance to surrender, he didn't take it, and was subsequently killed with a shot to the head. (Who knows if they really did, but who cares.) Bin Laden's son (24 i think?) was also killed along with a bunch of Bin Laden's men. (Numbers are fluid right now. "22 killed or captured")
