People who write computer viruses and operating system exploiters should suffer both cruel and unusual punishment. Castration would be an excellent place to start.

MSBlaster has hit our campus hard. Untold hours are being WASTED dealing with this problem. My Windows system suffered and is still suffering from it. All yesterday afternoon and so far a good chunk of this morning has been devoted to fighting it, all the time going to just getting the machine back to normal.

Thankfully this here Macintosh got its own network connection just in time to allow a second terminal for useful work while the Dell scans iself (again!) and tries to deal with this stinkin' piece of malicious code.
