Yesterday morning's meeting with Bernie went well.

At this point, if his project runs, I'll be a staff member on it for about four weeks, then shoot panos for him in Rome (at sites that are normally not accessible). If his project does not run, I'll just go visit and shoot some panos. Whether the project runs or not depends on some 30 people signing up as volunteers, to provide the funds for it. This will be known by mid-May at latest.

Bernie also tried to recruit me to his new lab in Virginia. Going there's unlikely, but I may be able to work for or with him remotely, or be on-call to shoot panos for people he knows. He seems to have a lot of connections, so we'll see where this goes.

Lunch at Google was tasty! Thanks, Kenny! And it was fun to see their operation in Santa Monica.

Our train ride north took about five hours. We played a lot of poker. Unfortunately this train did not have a diner car, so we had to settle for bland cafe-car offerings for dinner.
