Last Saturday our buggy rolled 200,000 miles. No reason to get rid of it quite yet. It's not breaking fast enough to justify a new car in terms of repairs. Its gas mileage ain't great, and it has various dings and dents, but we'll keep it for a while yet. Putting off buying a new car is a high priority.





Back on April 1 we celebrated Sparky's Nth birthday with an ice cream cake. She liked it. At least she like having it -- she might not have actually tasted it on the way down.





Yesterday we took the dogs out to the usual beach in Ventura Co. We did this because Michelle Lane, Shelley's freshman-year college roommate, dropped by for a visit while in town for a conference. Michelle's now an assistant professor living in Austin, TX, so next time we're in that part of the country perhaps we'll repay the visit.








Zero blows a raspberry after a hard play session with the frisbee.
