We didn't get our Christmas tree until Thursday, in part because we just didn't get around to it, but then we couldn't find one! Whooda thunk that places sell out around here? I thought more people would wait to get one – like they do to shop – so there would still be trees a-plenty. But no... our usual place had given away their remaining trees early in the week, so we had to drive around a lot to find a place that still had a few.

We actually had a white Christmas this year, which is a relief, because Saturday it was the usual sunny and 70 degrees outside. Christmas morning began with an hour-long conference call with folks in Alaska, Texas, and New York talking themselves out. This courtesy of WB, Inc.

We passed much of Saturday in Azeroth and had Kenny and Steven over for ham dinner and some gaming last night, before staying up to 2:45 am (after they left) Warcrafting. Failed wisdom check on that one.

Our basic tree, with purple and white lights and ornaments, on Christmas Eve.

Even in SoCal we can have a white Christmas. So what if the fog burned off in the 70-degree afternoon?

Happy Kelley in the gorgeous dress her grandma made for her, barely containing her enthusiasm for all the gifts under the tree.
