Have you heard of the turducken? It has received a lot of press recently, especially leading up to Thanksgiving. It's a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken, stuffed with... stuffing. Cut it in cross-section and you see and get several layers of bird.

Whether this unnatural concoction turns out to be fad, we'll have to wait to see, but I heartily vouch for its yumminess and would eat it again and again!

Unlike my crazy brother-in-law who made one from scratch, we ordered ours online from Cajun Grocer (we chose Turducken with Seafood Jambalaya), and merely had to thaw, cook, and baste it.

Of course if you order it you have to pay for the preparation and shipping, but with a complicated project of this sort, that's fine by us! (Paul, if you had to do it over again, would you?)

After the eating, we had the gaming, and then the drinking of Champagne to ring in the new year.

Happy New Year!

Turducken, oh how we savored thee!
