Ever since returning from the UK it's been hot here. I truly don't like it. It makes me irritable, and tired especially after cycling home in the evening when it's 95-100 degress outside.

I'm also getting really sick of the ugliness that is my commute. I love cycling to work, but the "scenery" along the way is really beginning to get to me.

Traffic. Buildings. Litter. Nothing at all attactive to look at along the way. It wouldn't be much better in a car or train, just quicker to get through.

I pine for the days commuting in upstate New York when we drove through forests and along streams.
