Kelley enjoyed the LA Country Fair quite a bit more this year than last, having become rather more sentient and able to sit up and look around in the past 12 months.

The vast crowds, noises, and new things to look at overwhelmed her at first but it didn't take long before she laughed and played around. She especially liked the frisbie dog show and her little glow-necklace that we bought her.

The fair seemed more a zoo this year - ostriches, camel, llamas - than it normally does. Going on the weekend meant huge numbers of people, so not nearly as enjoyable as last when we hit it on a weekday.

I shot several panoramas for this WWP's "Transportation" theme but still have to stitch them and determine which will be the best to use as my entry. Shot some by the huge steam train engines they keep out there on permanent display, some in the National Hotrod Association Museum, and some near the Ferris wheel.

Kelley set for a big day at the fair!

Tackiest. Thing. Ever. (Inflatable slide ride... of the Titanic sinking! Three times down only $5!)

The place where we got deep-fried Oreos last year offers Krispy Kreme donut chicken sandwiches this year. No. We didn't.

Kelley likes her glowing necklace.

Daddy enjoys a donut as big as Kelley!
