The work on the events calendar for Cornell has been going well; I've learned a lot about implementing a large software package and working with a project manager and team to make it all happen.

Today I flew from LA to Ithaca to attend a mini conference about Bedework, the calendaring system we've been building. Representatives will attend from Duke and U. Chicago as well as the original developers from RPI. We're all getting together to compare notes and see how we can help each other.

On Friday I'll return to LA. They've been having record-cold temperatures here lately, but despite this, all the flowering trees have bloomed to make Cornell a gorgeous campus now.

Earlier this week we had private house showings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; the Tuesday guy will be our first return showing on Friday; he wants to add a guest house in the back, which may be a problem because of hillside ordinances.

Knowing that, though, I pointed out that he might want to build up instead - on top of the garage like the neighbors did to good effect. He had not thought of that, so it's good that I was around to suggest it!

Only two weeks and two days until our new house! We're all set to have a moving company come in on Friday, May 9th, which day we plan to head out as well (in the evening just for an hour or two before longer drives through the next week).
