In addition to the sunsets, our new house offers a view of incoming weather, such as the thunderstorm shown below.

From here you can see the storms come up over the ridge and/or up along the valley floor. Everything behind the leading rain curtain just greys out and disappears. And then the rain and wind gusts hit.

Although Sparky went a little mad - as expected - when the thunder and lightening crashed and banged, neither she nor Thor woke Kelley up. Thus, although this was her first thundery weather, she's yet to experience one.

I hope she's awake for the next one and that it conditions her for a more enjoyable Fourth this year, so she's not so afraid of the pyrotechnics.

For dinner we drove over to my project manager's house for dinner with him and his wife Bronwyn and their 8-month-old daughter Jessica. We'll be seeing more of them.

Storm incoming.

Much closer now.

My first shot of lightening!
