"In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." Kahlil Gibran

behavior modification....

2006 was a pretty good year...I've had worse...and I've had better. That's what makes life so interesting..the good and the bad, and never knowing which one will show up on any given day.

I'm not much for making New Year's Resolutions, but I'm not above making a few behavior modifications.

1. I will refrain from profanity when I am forced to wait more than 30 minutes for my doctor's appointments. I will not stomp out of the office in a rage and go on a shopping spree to ease my frustration.

2. I will learn how to go into a Dollar Store and spend no more than a dollar.

3. I will learn to walk and chew gum at the same time.

4. I will not recite the preamble of the Constitution to the telemarketer while he/she is trying to sell me siding or roofing or magazines.

5. I will complete one knitting/crocheting project without tearing out the stitches 4 or 5 times and swearing at the invisible creature who caused me to lose track of the pattern.

6. I will eat M & Ms only on those days that have an "a" in them.

I think that's enough for now. Mind you, these are not resolutions or promises, just some new things I'm going to try. We'll see how it goes.

For you my fellow journalscapers, I wish you all good health and happiness in the new year.

xoxo
