Read/Post Comments (1) "In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." Kahlil Gibran |
2007-01-01 11:05 AM every ending is a new beginning.... One year ends...another begins. I have great memories of the year that has passed and high hopes for the one ahead.
We spent the last hours of 2006 eating sauerkraut balls and jumbo shrimp. We toasted the new year with sparkling grape juice, listened to Dick Clark hosting the party in Times Square. As the ball dropped, we toasted our family and friends and gave the dogs a treat. The cats were out carousing. I don't know what this new year will bring, but I plan to savor each moment of every day. I think I'll begin by rearranging my room. It's long over-due for a good cleaning and perhaps Ill even get rid of some of those magazines that seem to be in every corner. I don't know why I hang on to magazines with such fervor. At one time, I used to just cut out an article that interested me and toss the magazine. I told myself I would put these clippings in some kind of order and paste them in some kind of binder so they would be easily accessible. I never did, they just kinda laid around in piles and eventually found their way into the trash. So, I just kept the whole magazine and earmarked the special pages with a postie. Consequently, I have enough magazines to start a pretty substantial bonfire. So many magazines...so little room. Anyway, that's my plan for the day. Yep, today I'm gonna get organized. Happy New Year. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
