It's been a beautiful day. There was sunshine, a crispness in the air and not a sign of predicted snow. I can't believe it's mid-January. I can't help but wonder if this is the calm before the storm. I'm afraid if winter does come it's gonna be brutal.

Problems are still in the air for my kids but today is better than yesterday and I'm sure tomorrow will be even better. I thank each of you who sent such warm thoughts and prayers.

When I've got things on my mind, things I can't fix, I usually go in for a little housekeeping. This was one of those days and I kept busy all day polishing this, waxing that, washing the other, vacuuming everything in sight..all with music from the 60s and 70s blasting through the air.
Better than therapy.

Haven't been out of the house in nearly a week so tomorrow will be shopping day. I don't need anything special but I'm sure I'll find something to bring home. Also good therapy...and thank goodness there are dollar stores.:)

I'm working on getting my mom's recepies in order so I can get them typed up and printed off. Funny thing, I can almost detect the aroma of those delicious meals coming from the yellowed pages. It's a little more work than I imagined it would be but I think the end result is going to be worth the effort.

Not much else going on...think I'll grab my knitting and watch the tube for awhile then put these tired old bones to bed. G'nite.
