Read/Post Comments (5) "In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." Kahlil Gibran |
2007-01-15 5:37 PM "Let the sun shine..let the sunshine..let the sunshine in".... Its been 3 of the dreariest days I can recall...not a speck of sunshine peeking through the gray clouds...enuf to make me dream of a tropical island, warm sand, blue waters and lots of sun. I suppose this is our winter. I'm not complaining, there are other parts of the country really suffering with ice and snow, so I'll sit here and count my blessings.
********************************************************** Speaking of blessings..one came my way today. I've been invited to direct a show for a local theater group. For many years, I was involved in a theater group in my home town and I count those years as some of the best in my life. The show I've been asked to direct is: "Extremities". I saw it as a tv movie some years ago starring Farrah Faucet. It's pretty dramatic but the kind of thing I enjoy doing. Auditions will be the first week of February with production slated for the end of March. Should be pretty exciting...at least for me. I haven't directed a show in a long time but I think it's one of those things like riding a bicycle...it all comes back to ya..at least I hope so. ********************************************************** Went to see my friendly family physician today and as expected, he's set me up for more tests and a visit to another specialist. In the meantime, he has written yet another prescription to try for the pain..keep your fingers crossed that this one works. I asked him for a body transplant but he didn't seem to think that was much of a possibility...maybe the guy is just a quack. *sigh* ********************************************************* I'm still working on getting my mom's recipes translated into measurements other than pinch, handfull, a little bit, some and about. In all the years I watched her cook, I don't think I ever saw her use a measuring cup or spoon. ********************************************************* That's about all that's goin on in this neck of the woods. I hope you are all safe from bad weather and living well. peace. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
