I'm as excited as a virgin bride on her wedding night!

I'm getting a laptop!

Miss Netta called me yesterday and told me she got a "real deal" on a Dell laptop and would be sending it to me via the GC when she comes back from her visit..next weekend I think.

Imagine that! The computer I have now is a relic from the Civil War and the software is soooo outdated. I can't wait to gain access to the YouTube site that Netta is so fond of.

And I'm sure it'll be loaded with good music, knowing my girl and her amazing knowledge of all things musical, I feel pretty sure I'm gonna love it.

I do hope she sends instructions...I am such a total dumbass when it comes to anything electronic..I still haven't adjusted to touch tone telephones or digital alarm clocks.

Just think of the wonder...I can take my laptop when I go for my chemo...or I can put it on my lap when I'm sitting on the porch or lolling in my recliner. Dontcha just love it!

Another piece of good news, my youngest daughter Micki and her family will be coming to see me in a couple of weeks. They usually come every summer. I can't wait to see how much young Max has grown...you know they grow so quickly..he's probably taller than I am now.

So, anyway, I'm gonna spend the day giggling at my good fortune, make a quick trip to the dollar store and begin work on some curtains.
