I was surprised yesterday by the arrival of my daughter and grandchildren from PA. Didn't expect them til later in the month.

A nice surprise. The kids have grown heaps and bounds..of course..since I last saw them a couple of years ago. And they are gorgeous...so respectful, well mannered and most importantly, funny.

Micki and I went to do a little shopping today and got caught in the middle of a delicious thunderstorm between stores. Unfortunately, the storm didn't last very long and the humidity just went higher. I was quite happy to get home to my A/C room.

We spent a few hours on the front porch going through old photographs. How funny the clothes look...how sweet and innocent the babies and naturally, the biggest laughs come from the most candid pictures...know what I mean?

It was a great day, but I'm tired now so gonna turn in early..gonna need the rest to deal with the "suprise" birthday party that I feel sure will happen this weekend.

Prolly shouldn't a said that...now I'll look pretty dumb if nobody shows up. (snickering)
