2004-04-26 10:26 PM how my life is like men in black Woah! Dude! Sorry. I just had to Ted there. So my story has been rejected twice now largely because of its similarities to Men in Black. Now, quite frankly, I'm cool with that. I only recently started working on fiction after many, many, many years of no fiction writing at all, and though I know I can write a good research paper, my fiction needs work. What's so funny is that the two aspects that the editors are finding MIB-ish are things that are semi-autobiographical with creative twists. The other funny thing is that I saw MIB once when it came out, a couple scenes here and there when it was on cable, and have avoided it since then. I never even went near the sequel. Someday this should make a *really* good story :). BTW, check out Steve Burns' CD "Music for Dustmites" and The Flaming Lips, whose song, "Do You Realize" is fab-u-lous!
