home again, home again...

I'm listening to The Magnetic Field's "Busby Berkeley Dreams". I love it! My husband forgot to make me a disk with a lot of my music, so I have been without some of my favorites for way too long.

It's good to be home.

We had a pretty good time. Very little writing done. It was hard to write with so many people running around, talking to me, wanting things, etc. Sad too -- I was in the perfect frame of mind for a new story I developed while there. Ah well. Back to the grindstone, eh?

I may write more about my trip later and talk about the excellent sushi, torte and fish tacos and the 30 pounds of books I bought, or I may not. We'll just have to see now, won't we?

In the meantime, it's time for a shower. And then I'll clean my office and eventually go buy food because food is such a good thing and the 'fridge is full of condiments and nothing else very useful except for three wings in a styrofoam box.

The most interesting thing I've noticed is that after not writing for 2 weeks it's really hard to get back into it. Even this was kinder hard to write. Feels stilted and full of effort. Maybe I just need water and food...

Tra la la. Ha ha!
