2004-06-16 9:30 PM defending the resurrectionist YES! I have finally completed "Defending the Resurrectionist". Yesterday the story stood at about 4,500 words, then at about 1,800, and now it's over 5,000. I chopped out all but the bare essence and was amazed as the real story flooded out while Tori sang over my speakers. Let this be a lesson to you all -- Tori Amos is a fabulous cure for writer's block :). It's a good story, I think. I do like it. Definitely some dark fantasy here, but then I have primarily been doing dark fantasy lately, though a woman in my writers' group has referred to "Prickings" as a "mystery". So it was a good, productive day. I also made a lovely chicken soup with thighs, green and red peppers, thyme, garlic, balsalmic vinegar and other lovely things.
