2004-07-20 6:13 PM i'm like that dad... Today I worked on my short story a bit, thought about my story and how part of it could work into a bit of a social/folklore research project. Cool ideas.
J-Spot (my brother, who also lives in the polygamy house), Avadore and I went shopping today for such essentials as blueberries and notebooks. Fred Meyer had a sale and I bought 24 70 page notebooks for 12 cents a piece, which is very cool. At Office Max I bought some notecards and two packs of Sharpies -- 1 4 pack of silver and a multicolor pack. I got 15 percent of the cards and multicolor pack and 65 percent off the silver pack just because I'm that cool.
Currently I have Rissole Potatoes cooking; the grill warming for bratwursts; a leek, potato and swiss soup cooking; a mushroom salad waiting; some fruit on the counter and ice cream in the freezer. It must be a feast. I'm like that dad in Eat, Drink, Man, Woman.
I love this time of year. I'm a fruit and vegetable freak. "No, no -- you all eat the bratwursts -- I'm living off the salad and fruit." Yum.
I've been so grumpy and out of sorts lately, but have been feeling better the last few days. I think it helps to have J-Spot around. I really think he lifts my moods tremendously. Now that he's switching jobs, hopefully, I 'll see him more. Who knows what I'll do when he moves out, though. Goodness knows it'll happen someday.
Going to work more on my story tonight, do some reading, Isaiah study perhaps.
Tonight I'm just going to enjoy life. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
