2005-01-10 11:58 AM my brain is a swiss cheese omelet I woke up at a quarter to eight absolutely starving.
Normally, I have to wake up for a while before eating breakfast, but that's changing (and will probably remain this way until I'm done nursing). I wasn't terribly awake, but I went to make my semi-usual breakfast anyway: two eggs, half a bagel (Avadore gets the other half), an orange and a glass of milk. This morning, however, I decided to have a grapefruit instead, so I grabbed one of those. Now, I can toast a bagel, pour some milk, and cook a couple eggs on autopilot. I can also peel an orange on autopilot, which I tried to do. I sliced the grapefruit 3/4 of the way with the orange peeler when I remembered what I was eating. I promptly cut it. I cut it in half the wrong way. Fine, I cut it in quarters so it was more in slices. It does not eat the same as when you slice it correctly. Good to know. I also started making a crustless gluten-free quiche. In the process I almost threw out one of my best cutting boards. I'm afraid to find out what I did that I haven't noticed.... My it's breezy in here... The joys of pregnancy. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
