2005-02-24 9:40 AM hack ... hack ... hack The cough has knocked us flat. Actually, the cough is the most visible symptom. There's a fever, chills, aches... Evidently this is the cough that lasts like the Energizer bunny and can turn into bronchitis or pneumonia, so we're just going to avoid that. We had a friend bring us some medications my doctor and Avadore's doctor recommended last night, as well as a lot of orange juice. Avadore isn't showing any symptoms yet --he's as healthy as ever -- but I still put him to bed with the cough medicine just in case. He's up and around today being his healthy self. The funny thing is we have two adults here that are having a terrible time taking care of a three-year-old. We just don't have the energy. Not that I could focus really anyway, but yesterday I didn't allow myself to read any of We Have Always Lived in the Castle. I'm glad I avoided it; I had weird enough thoughts during the night (most of which I can't recall now) without it. Sandra is bringing us some groceries tonight so we shouldn't have to go anywhere for a few days. We need to beat this thing, avoid giving it to anyone, avoid picking up anything else, and avoid the inversion in the air, which will only make this worse. Besides, no sane person would want Rice or I driving right now anyway. What else... Oh yes. Very little writing done lately, very little much of anything done lately. Hopefully, I'll be up to some writing or studying later today or tomorrow. If any of us are feeling at all like accomplishing anything, I imagine there's other things to do first. Winter came back Monday and was supposed to do dishes for Monday evening and Tuesday and just sort of left them sitting when he took off to see his girlfriend until this next Sunday. Of course, we weren't feeling great Tuesday evening, so we thought we'd do them Wednesday... Yeah, must do dishes today. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
