I will note, however, that for some reason my step-brothers (especially the two I have had semi-close, semi-regular contact with) have an amazingly innate ability to get under my skin. It's like they were born with a "Get under Maggie's skin" gene. And I didn't really meet them until about the time we were all legally adults.

It's days like this when a girl needs to consider making some chocolate chip cookies, which will probably now forever be known as the "Cookies for Ondine" or "Ondine's Cookies" in my family, just because of that one journal entry :).
