I've had this journal for five years now. It's a strange experience, thinking about how so much of my life has been logged here, how much hasn't been over the past year plus. Though there has been so much to write about, this hasn't been the place.

I love this journal, and this space. But it was meant for certain things, and some things are inappropriate to write about in such a public forum.

I started this journal to chronicle my life, particularly my life as a writer and as a mother. I have evolved in both roles. Evolution is good. But it doesn't mean it's not hard and doesn't hurt.

Still, I'm hoping on the growth that's coming.
