A wild and happy week-end

My week-end was so filled with emotions. First my oldest

sister and her family flew in from Texas on Thursday.

The same evening YC came in from University.

We all settled in, stayed up way too late and had fun.

Friday was a blur of activity. Last minute errands and

shopping. That night was the rehearsal and rehearsal

dinner. Too much wine had at dinner, let us say my husband

was very relaxed, lol. Up late again, coffee, cookies,

talking, laughing. Saturday morning came with a bang, up

early to have coffee, shower and dress. Yes world, I wore

a dress, stockings and heels. My whole family looked

stunning. My hubby is a cutie in jeans yet,in a suit, yummy.

We meet before the service for photos. My daughter the bride

was out of this world and her hubby was so handsome. Our 2

other daughters were amazing as well. The service began and

our Pastor officiated, tears of joy, a few giggles and a lot

of Amens. Married in the eyes of God. Family & friends

witnessed it all. Witnesses to what God had created, a

beautiful union.

Reception involved an open bar, lots of food, and music.

The Father daughter dance made a 130 people stop talking,

then start crying, grabbing for napkins to dab their eyes.

We all watched my beautiful child and her handsome Daddy

dance and sway to a beautiful song. Both of them crying as

well.

I was dragged to the dance floor by the grooms dad. We

taught him to drop and pop, my son inlaw damn near fell

over laughing. The day whisked by in fog. The last song was

"We Are Family" and both families danced together in unison.

As the last guest exited I still couldn't believe the day.

We sojourned home elated and exhausted. Changed our clothes

and my OS and I went grocery shopping. Our OC was turning 33

the next day and we had a family dinner to prepare.

Sunday a family and friend dinner for 30. All home cooked.

Chicken wings, pasta, salad, side dishes & garlic bread.

Cakes, cupcakes, pie and ice cream. Balloons. Blessings.

Another day,another moment of happiness.

Monday & today we spent time with my OS & her family.

My brother inlaw is cooking Mexican food. My OS is resting.

My husband is online doing work. My niece is vegging.

Tomorrow they fly out. The house will be quiet again.

Just me and my Hubby. Memories were made this week-end.

I give thanks for it all.
