Gee, a blank screen and no preconceived plans for my very first journal entry is a somewhat frightening concept...

I guess, really, I became inspired to do this when I was browsing a writer friend of mine's website. He's had an online journal now for sometime, and just the idea of being able to post an idea or inspiration to the web at any time is a cool and useful thing. Jason's "blog" - as these weblogs appear to be called - follows his dream of one day being a published and respected fantasy writer. I don't yet feel worthy to demarcate myself as a digital graphic artist -- although I believe I have ample talent in the field --, but I do see the potential of such a journal: In addition to being able to post a few personal thoughts and opinions here and there, I can also "remind myself" of graphical suggestions, techniques, and tips that I might otherwise forget.

I simply hope that this "dream" won't go the way of most folk's New Year's resolutions -- obviously, that such aspirations eventually are forgotten and unfulfilled.
