I stepped in dog crap yesterday.

Originally, I wanted to write this down and leave it, minus further detail, to just linger on the page, stinking up my journal as the stuff did on my shoes and in my office.

In itself, the observation seems absurd -- and yet it is even more absurd that one would choose to even comment on such a banal experience. How many people, I wonder, can claim that they can actually remember a day when just this sort of thing happened to them? Well, now I can say (proudly?) that I am able to put an exact date on a doggy-doo-doo-day.
