The Braves extended their losing streak to 3 games, losing the final 3 of a 4 game series to the ostensibly mediocre Phillies. Fortunately for me, I didn't pay much attention to these last few games and have had some busy days at work to take my mind off Atlanta's subpar play on the diamond.

So, as it stands right now, the Braves have 3 wins in the 7 games since I made my prediction that the ballclub would go 18-12 in the last 30 games of the season. In the next 23 games, the Atlantans can only lose 8 of the remaining 23 if they're going to live up to my expectations. While I still think the team is capable of this feat, it's now an uphill battle, considering Atlanta plays Florida six times and Chicago, three, before the regular season ends.

Now - if I recall correctly - the dreadful Mets come to town, hopefully providing the Braves the start to another extneded winning streak.
