2004-09-21 2:02 PM Dead Marlins Starting to Stink Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) Just a quick update on the Braves front while taking a quick 15 minute break at work.
The Braves are back at home starting this evening with a three game series against the Cincinnati Reds, a team that hasn't done all that well apart from a stellar year by Danny Graves, the closer. For some reason, I didn't give the Braves the benefit of the doubt in my earlier predictions, so if they win 2 of the 3, they'll have done better than expected. Record since 9/3: 10-8 Games left: 12 Overall record: 88-62 To end at 96-66: Win 8 Magic Number: 5 The recent hurricanes must have thrown the Marlins onto dry land because they've really started to stink lately. They lost ground to the Braves this past weekend and did themselves no favors in Chicago where they split a double-header. If the Marlins want to have any shot at the playoffs, they'll have to win all 13 of their remaining games and hope that the other Wildcarders lose most of theirs. Not gonna happen.
