2004-09-26 10:35 PM Braves Sweep Marlins, Clinch Division Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (5) Friday night the Braves clinched their 13th straight Division Title by beating the Florida Marlins. Despite finishing off their division rivals and playing the reserves, the Braves decided to show up for their next two with Florida and sweep the series. With the three straight wins, it actually looks quite possible that a 96-66 record is in the works.
Record since 9/3: 14-10 Games left: 6 Overall record: 92-64 To end at 96-66: Win 4 Looking ahead to the playoffs, it appears that Atlanta will either be playing the Los Angeles Dodgers or Barry Bonds (San Francisco Giants) in the first round of the playoffs. I can't honestly say which team I would prefer to win the NL West, but the Braves have played well against both teams, so it might simply be a case of "6 of one, half dozen of the other." *** We're back from Georgia, and the 15th Year High School Reunion was a lot of fun. I anticipate posting a brief write-up and some photos of the event soon... Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
