Apart from redesigning this journal's look, I haven't had a particularly productive Saturday. Unfortunate, I guess, because when I got up this morning I was all gung-ho and ready-to-go -- until glancing out the window to see more of yesterday's oppressive gray. The chemistry for motivation evaporated early after throwing the curtains back, and I spent the entire day inside, restless and unfocused. One of those where I have no concrete recollection of what's actually transpired over the last 14 hours.

I did catch the last seven and a half minutes of the Arizona/Illinois basketball game. When I flipped the set on, the Wildcats were up by 15 points with about 2:54 left to play. Over that stretch, Illinois outscored their opponent 20 to 5, tying the game and sending it into overtime and then winning by one point when Arizona missed their last attempt. (What an absolutely dismal last ditch effort by the Wildcats -- someone should have made a drive to the bucket instead of wasting the last 11 seconds and having to shoot a desparation 3-point attempt.) If Illinois doesn't end up in the Championship Game, it'll be a real shocker...

Well, that'll do it, and clearly, the content of this last ditch journal-entry effort is about on par with the day's utter lack of excitement.
