Gettin' started...

Just wanted to check out the latest and greatest JournalScape feature: "Currentlies"!!!

These are nifty little tags I put at the end my entries, telling what I'm listening to currently, what I'm reading (not much lately, other than stories by friends and crits of my own stuff!), how many words I've written today, and so on.

Well, Kenny the JournalScape magus has automated that stuff for us. Kenny rules!!!

As far as my writing goes, I'm ready to dive into the revision of "Gunning for the Buddha." I finally know how to pull the whole story together. It's a really all-over-the-place story, something very experimental for me, and it's finally congealing and firing on all cylinders. Something like that.

So I'm working on that now that I've gotten the gate painted on our back fence (after, um, three months of it being primed...) and then at 5:30 I'm helping Lizzie cater a meal for her family. I like having deadline like that on the weekend, especially for fun stuff like that, and for breakfast tomorrow with our friends, and the first meeting of the local writing group I helped set up. Lots of fun stuff going on. I'd better get to it! Later!

Now Playing:
"Trainspotting" soundtrack

Now Reading:
Crits and stories by friends and editors

Today's Words:
0 so far...

Novel Words:
ditto the above...

Today's Quote:
“Be a lamp unto yourself,” I said, and kicked out with both bare feet as my body slid low in the car’s big front seat, “and seek your own liberation with diligence.”

The shot went high, shattering the window above me. The blast nearly deafened me, but at last I knew the blissful release of a fortune told, a lesson learned. At last. We hit the middle of the bridge, and we were gone.
