Don't read this if you're not going to World Fantasy this weekend...

'Cause if you ain't going, the jealousy is gonna be huge.

The con planners have posted the Tentative Program for the coming weekend, and things look quite cool. From the Strange Horizons Tea Party on Saturday from 4-5:30 in the Hospitality Suite to the Interstitial Arts Foundation Event in the same location Thursday night from 9 to midnight, to the (of course) Small Press Launch Party in Suite 909 on Saturday night from 7 p.m. until whenever and the Tor party somewhere else at the same time but different location, to all the kick-ass readings and panels on slipstream, crossovers, and scaring kids, I'm pretty psyched.

But of course, it wouldn't be a con without a trip off-site for beer and chicken wings. Right now, Friday night is looking like a great night for that -- Halloween! Who's in? Who knows of a good wings place near the Hyatt Regency (Capitol Hill) in DC? Who wants to talk fantasy and SF and horror and slipstream and writing and all places in between? Sign up! Let us know! Bring your party hats and whoopie cushions!

And if you're not coming to WFC, I can't say that I didn't warn ya. I'll eat a greasy wing in your honor, and sip wistfully at my black-n-tan for you. You will be missed.
