Hopefully not middle of the road either...

Not a middle of the day writer

Interesting. Just spent the past hour or so trying to get on track with some more tweaks and revisions to the baseball novel, but couldn't really get into it. Now, I know part of that non-starting is due to the fact that we've been running around a LOT lately -- we were in the car about 10 hours yesterday, for family get-togethers (one sad, one happy), and this past week has just been crazy overall, at work, at home, and everywhere else. So my brain is tired and my body still feels like I'm driving down the road.

But the real reason I can get going on my writing is that I can't really do it in the middle of the day. I've got to have my mornings. And this week, I got out of that habit. Most of this spring I've been out of the habit. I need that hour or two early in the morning, before the rest of the world wakes up and pulls me away from my time of creativity.

So I'll write more, tomorrow.

Right now it's drizzling rain, Drew's catching up on his sleep, and Elizabeth and I are going to celebrate a day with no traveling by watching either "King Kong" or some "Deadwood" episodes, and just enjoy being at home, together. Later!
