Masons struggle with race

This makes me sad. If there was a reason for me to ever be ashamed to have belonged to IORG, this would be it. IORG (Internation Order of the Rainbow for Girls) is a Masonic youth organization that has been compared to Girl Scouts. The Tyler Chapter of IORG in Tacoma, WA had mixed-race membership (and there was never a question at all about what race you were when you joined--religion was a bit of a non-issue of sorts, but race was never even mentioned). I never would have expected this to be the way things are in this organization.
