As a person who grew up in the Puget Sound and is generally considered a native (despite being born in Houston), it is often expected of me that I would be a big fan of Bill Gates. Now, I wouldn't call myself a fan exactly, but in general I don't hate Bill Gates. His company is one that both frusterates me endlessly, and one that I study with both admiration and fear. After all, giants will fall, and when they do, it really hurts. (But in the mean time, I'm finding his charity work to be quite admirable and I'm always a fan of people who are giving--even if their software sucks.)

So without further ado, some articles that I've culled from the internet during my reading this morning, regarding several of my favorite (or at least favorite to watch and giggle) techy giants:

Vista Security flaws It's not even out yet and people are already dissing Vista--but really, I wonder how this will affect things.

Microsoft unphased by Google threat Well, that's not a surprise, but I actually think the two services compliment each other rather nicely. Google is catering to the "regular Joe" and Microsoft to the mid- to large-sized coporations.

Google stocks soar Am the only one who's not surprised?

Here comes the iPhone I've been waiting to upgrade my phone for a long time. Maybe I'll get one of these... I wonder if it'll also take pictures...

Linux bans lifted for World of Warcraft Apparently it was all just a mistake...
