2005-07-08 7:42 AM Certainty is uninteresting I've never been fond of arguing. And I find that reading many blog/comment exchanges leaves me cold, no matter how persuasive many of the statements are. Somehow the things people are absolutely certain about rarely seem all that interesting to me, or persuasive. I suppose it makes no sense to say that I'm more persuaded by people who are less certain of there positions. Maybe what it comes down to is that I just don't connect all that well with people who are certain, and I'm not so much interested in the "truth" as in common ground (and uncertainty is one of the things we most have in common). Am I crazy?
