Ok. I'm not much for talking politics. For one, I'm usually looking for common ground and seldom find much in political discussions. For two, I generally like to avoid controversy. But once in a while ...

I'm interested to find people who either despised Clinton and despise Bush or did not despise Clinton and do not despise Bush. I keep hearing from people who despise one and not the other, and a seeming tacit expectation that any clear seeing person would share the same 'despisal.'

It doesn't really dishearten me that much to think that politicians will say anything to get elected, that their character may be questionable, etc. What disheartens me is the polarization of the public into camps that frankly remind me of fundamentalism -- just in politics instead of religion. The insiders just know what's true and pretty much everything confirms it. This frightens me.
