on e-friends

I've sometimes wondered if some of us e-friends met each other whether we'd have anything to say, or even like each other. But it's almost like the reverse of normal friendships. Here, perfect strangers can read what I think about things that are quite important to me. There (the "real" world), people meet me mostly through superficialities and the question is whether there will be a deeper connection so friendship is sustained. I've no doubt that here in the e-world I have real connections/real friendships forming. But it's almost a reverse question I have -- if we met would we have the sort of natural banter/small talk that friends also engage in. I don't know that it matters. Just curiosity. I'm not certain I'd want to get together, e-friends. Is that twisted? I suppose I'm afraid of what might be lost in such encounter.
