something profound

There are seasons of life in which I want very much to say something profound, and usually the person I want to say it to is me. I guess the pain of life is clearly profound, and when it grows, or the awareness of it grows, sometimes the right word at the right time can transcend it. Some days the right word is something to make you laugh, some days something to make you cry, etc. And some days, there just isn't anything to say as much as to build a fire in the fireplace that makes the cold rain outside seem far away, and sit together contemplating the embers. So, pull up a chair, let it rain, let the wind blow, and join me by the fire. I've got hot chocolate. Byob if you need something more than that. Anyone know how to roast chestnuts?
