I'm not the type to take medicine unless I really, really need it, but it's easy to take for granted the miracles that line drug store aisles. Too bad more medicines aren't named after the person who created them - maybe it would remind us.

I would get almost no sleep if not for Prilosec controlling acid reflux. And without anti-depressants, who knows if I'd still be around. And then there's all the antiobiotics.

So, just a word of thanks to all those scientists who dedicate themselves to medicine.
